what's up and welcome to another episode of gizmos lip tech today we're gonna talk about why you shouldn't buy a gaming laptop right now it is just a bad bad idea number one and first of all we have the RT X 2000 series cards coming out really soon a few months agoit was a big question mark as to when the new graphics cards are gonna come out and we've got some pretty strong leaks and rumors pointing to the fact that perhaps around CES time mid January we're gonna be looking at the new laptop graphics cards being Navy announced or released that's only one month away and you will really regret it if you buy now and you realize that you could have had a GPU that was 30 to 40 maybe 50 percent faster for the same amount of money we don't know exactly when or what their specs and performance will be but
it will drastically affect prices on the existing thousand serie laptops the more budget laptops might be a hundred to three hundred dollars off and more expensive premium laptops that have like 10 80s for example will be five hundred to a thousand dollars off there's probably a lot of you out there that bought a laptop for Black Friday or
Cyber Monday the good news here is that if you bought it from a reputable seller you should be able to cancel or return your items for minimal to no cost so whether you want the most performance for the dollar or you're just looking for a super good budget buy you'll want to wait at least one and a half more months here probably mid-january end of January maybe early February is
when everything will be just selling like crazy it'll be like hotcakes if you had a laptop for a couple years with a thousand series graphics card this coming up is the crucial moment that you will want to have saved your dollars dinero's for because you'll be able to get yourself a new next level next generation laptop that should have dramatically better performance at least in theory all that said it's still a great time to buy smart phones it's also a decent time to buy ultra books
if you don't care about gaming it's also a decent time to buy tablets with the new iPad recently announced decent time to buy a console and it's also a very good time to buy a gaming desktop with both the desktop CPUs and desktop GPUs being released in the last few months so if you're really wanting the best bang for the buck desktop is where it's at for this month in january/february laptop is going to be caught back up and be on the same current generation for both the
